Fortitudo Messina officially announces the decision to renounce participation in the senior championships. A decision taken above all for generational reasons that do not allow us to have that long-term vision that has always distinguished the work of our company.
A foresight that has allowed Fortitudo Messina to do a splendid job with the class of 2003, 2004 and 2005 who will now go to play outside or will have the opportunity to grow in other clubs, while others will continue their studies elsewhere.
The company is taking a break, in these years we have not felt protected in our participation in the senior championships. And for this reason we will spend all our future energies for an increasingly important growth of our youth sector. We will participate in the Excellence championships, we will be present in very prestigious national and international tournaments, with the aim of giving an opening and a mental and basketball growth to our boys. We believe so much in the development of our boys born between 2009 and 2013, proof of this is the recent conquest of the U14 regional title, and also of our splendid “pink”.
In the next few weeks we will communicate the new corporate structure, we are open to establishing a twinning with another important club from Messina, useful for broadening horizons and further growing our youth sector.
Fortitudo Messina is alive, healthy and still has many resources available to put the boys in the best conditions to play basketball. The black-green heart continues to beat strong!
