ARRESTS FOR ROBBERY
Late yesterday afternoon, via the emergency number “112 NUE”, a report reached the Police Headquarters Operations Center regarding two thieves probably of foreign origin who were carrying out a theft inside the “EUROSPAR” supermarket in via Museo and were beating up kicking and punching the security guard.
The crews of Squad “Steering wheels” of the State Police immediately arrived at the reported location, where in a few moments they managed to identify the 2 individuals and stop them just as they were entering the exit of the public establishment with the intention of escaping with the stolen goods.
During the hectic phases of the robbery and the arrest of the two individuals, a boy with Down syndrome present at the scene felt ill and collapsed on the ground; promptly assisted by the Agents, the employees of the Supermarket and, subsequently, by the 118 Health Workers, who were called in specifically, the young man was then accompanied to the Emergency Room for further tests.
Once the robbers had been escorted with difficulty to the police station, despite the resistance put up by the two, the agents were able to reconstruct what had happened shortly before in the supermarket: after an employee had noticed the two individuals hiding various food items and bottles of spirits in their trousers and in a backpack, when they were about to pass the cash registers without paying anything they were stopped by the security guard, who, after having invited the two thieves to return the goods, was first insulted by them and threatened to permanently disfigure him if he did not let them go, then beaten and beaten with violent kicks and punches.
The two robbers – later identified ini B.A. e S.A.both 22-year-old Moroccan citizens, illegally residing in Italy – were arrested for the crimes of robbery and personal injury, while all the stolen goods were recovered and returned to the Eeurospar Management”. At the end of the Judicial Police proceedings, the two criminals were taken to the local prison at the disposal of the Judicial Authority.
In consideration of the seriousness of the behavior of the two arrested men, the precedents against them and the irregular position in Italy, in parallel with the judicial process the police commissioner of the province of Bolzano Paul Sartori issued against B.A. e S.A. as many decrees of expulsion from the national territory, which will become executive once these people are released from prison.
