A new edition of the Sardinia Cup Water Polo is ready to land in Alghero, after the previous editions in Sassari and Cagliari: it will be held from 4 to 6 July 2024, when the Italian vice world champions will participate in a competition eagerly awaited by Catalan water polo fans and beyond.

Strong public support is expected over the three evenings at Maria Pia (free entry), with Alessandro Campagna’s Settebello preparing for the Paris Olympics. The tests will be demanding, with the participation of high-level national teams such as Spain, Croatia and Greece. FIN Sardinia, chaired by Danilo Russu, works carefully to guarantee the success of the fourth edition of the Sardinia Cup, making sure that everything is perfect. Furthermore, the aim is to involve the island’s water polo teams, which are growing thanks to the possibility of observing their champions up close.

For further details, the organization refers to the press conference on 1 July 2024 in Alghero, at 10.30 am, in the Sala Lo Quarter of the Alghero Foundation, in Largo San Francesco n. 15. Alessandro Campagna will talk about the state of health of his players. Also speaking will be Franco Cuccureddu, regional councilor for Tourism, Crafts and Commerce, Carla Fundoni, president of the regional Commission for Health, Social Policies and Sport, the president of the Alghero Foundation Neria De Giovanni, the CONI Sardinia provincial delegate Giuseppe Manca and the FIN Sardinia president Danilo Russu.
