Heavy traffic is expected on the A4 motorway towards the seaside resorts over the weekend

With the last weekend of June we enter the heart of the first part of the summer season, the one characterized by the red stickers on the highway. Translated into numbers, they expect on Saturday alone between 181 thousand and 189 thousand transits and on the day of on Sunday between 174 thousand and 182 thousand vehicles passed along the Autostrade Alto Adriatico network.

These forecasts are dictated by the numbers that characterized the same weekend of 2023 (178 thousand transits on Saturday 1st July and 177 thousand on Sunday 2nd) and revised upwards due to the trend recorded over the weekend of 22-23 June across the entire network managed by the Concessionaria network (+4% compared to the previous week).

The forces in the field are therefore strengthened by the Companyespecially in toll collection, in road personnel (traffic auxiliaries), in maintenance in the event of accidents, in the radio information centre that monitors the motorway network 24 hours a day from Palmanova, in the plant operators ready to check for any type of fault, and in the infomobility service that constantly provides traffic news thanks to the Infoviaggiando service, the Infoviaggiando app and the toll-free number 800996099.

The nodes at greatest risk of queues

Furthermore, there will also be assistants (10 in total) at work in the areas of the junctions where there may be greater slowdowns and queues, namely Trieste Lisert, Villesse, Latisana, San Donà and San Stino.

In fact, they will be more seaside resorts in Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto and the Slovenian and Croatian coasts are the main tourist destinations demonstrating that the A4 motorway is confirmed as the main route for holidays. And so, it is expected in the 24 hours of Saturday 29 June, approximately 27 thousand vehicles passed through the motorway exit at Latisana, 19 thousand at Lisert, 11 thousand at Villesse and San Donà.

As regards the routes, it is expected – also based on historical data – intense traffic in the morning along the A23 Udine Sud – Palmanova and the A4 (also in the afternoon) towards Trieste (red badge).

Heavy traffic (yellow sticker) could also occur on the same day along the Trieste – Venice route and on the A28 especially in the afternoon and evening towards Portogruaro.

Sunday 30 June will see the usual exit and return traffic: still, therefore, heavy traffic (yellow sticker) on the A4 in both directions and on the A28 in the morning towards Portogruaro.

In this regard, Autostrade Alto Adriatico reminds you that until 12 pm on Sunday the carriageway interchange is active in the stretch between Pordenone Sud and Fontanafredda between kilometers 22+400 and 25+940 for repaving worksnecessary to adequately prepare the road surface in view of the great exodus at the end of July. This intervention it also involves a ban on exiting at the Porcia junction for those coming from Portogruaro.

In the end, the circulation of heavy vehicles will be prohibited throughout the national territory on Sunday 30 June from 7am to 10pm.
