Samuele Cannizzaro, councilor for Ecologiof the Municipality of Modica, underlines, in a note: “Our commitment to the environment is also demonstrated in the sharing and promotion of initiatives that serve to raise awareness but which are also useful and concrete beyond their symbolic value. Sunday June 30th, from 4.30pm, there is ‘Clean Up‘ on the Maganuco beach (pictured). We invite everyone, citizens, associations to join us for what is a ‘cleaning event’ promoted by the Plastic Free association in collaboration with the Municipality of Modica”.
“The objective – continues Cannizzaro – is to raise awareness of the care of the territory and the protection of coastal environments. The meeting point is at the second entrance to Maganuco beach and we will meet there next Sunday at 4.30pm. We will work and clean until 6.30 pm and during this day, we will focus on the importance of cleaning and safeguarding coastal environments. Concrete actions to improve the health of our ecosystem. All participants will be provided with the necessary cleaning materials. Cleaning means loving our Blue Flag beaches and preserving the sea. We are there and will continue to be there.”
