We interviewed Matteo Masiero, the secretary of Fim Cisl Venezia, who in Aprilia renews the RSU and discusses trade union issues:
The renewal of the RSU and its delegates at Aprilia
“We are very satisfied with the renewal of the RSU (United Trade Union Representation) just done in Aprilia, a company part of the Piaggio group. We are happy precisely because we have strengthened our representation. We managed to elect numerous delegates within the group, both at the Aprilia and Aprilia Racing sites, near Scorzè and Noale.”
Future issues and challenges for the entire Piaggio group
Masiero continues:
“The big challenge that we will have for the immediate future is the discussion that we are having for the Piaggio group’s supplementary agreement. In fact, many of the issues that are present in the supplementary agreement of this group also belong to the contexts of the two production sites.”
“In particular, we have some key elements which always concern the organization of work, safety and training. Furthermore, there is a whole theme linked to the question of worker participation in the company, which has seen commissions experimented in the past within Aprilia but also within Piaggio. Finally, there is the whole issue that concerns wages and the issue that concerns flexibility and working hours.”
