Rimini is ready to welcome the Tour de France. Starting from Friday 28 June, the last kilometer of the route (on Lungomare Di Vittorio) will be closed to prepare for the finish line. The rest of the race route will be closed from 2pm on Saturday 29 June, suspending traffic for all vehicles, except emergency vehicles.
The race will enter the Municipality of Rimini from the Dogana border, passing through the Republic of San Marino along the SS 72, up to the new roundabout between the Superstrada di San Marino and the Statale 16 “Adriatica”. It will continue on the SS 16 southwards up to the Befane roundabout, entering the town of Rimini via viale Settembrini, viale Chiabrera, viale Firenze and viale Regina Elena. The finish line will be on Lungomare Di Vittorio, at the height of bathing establishment 72.
Race times
The arrival of the advertising caravan is scheduled for 4.05pm, while the first runners are expected at 5.34pm.
Changes to traffic
Friday 28 June: from 8:00 pm on 28/06 to 10:00 pm on 29/06, closure of Lungomare Di Vittorio from Piazzale Gondar to Piazzale Benedetto Croce.
Saturday 29 June: from 10:00 to 20:00, closure of the Rotonda Lucio Battisti area and of via Colombo (Vie Bianchi/Cappellini section-Rotonda Lucio Battisti), Beccadelli (Viale Vespucci-Lungomare Tintori section) and Lungomare Tintori (Viale Beccadelli section). Via Bianchi). The last 3km of the route will be closed to traffic from 2pm.
To bypass the route, you can use the underpass of via Rodriguez, also accessible from the southern area via via Varisco-via Macanno-via Acquabona-via Coriano. The internal road system of Gros will be passable in both directions.
The Rimini-Sud motorway toll booth will be closed on exit from 2.00pm to 6.00pm on Saturday 29 June (and in any case until the needs cease). On entry, the toll booth will be open except between 5pm and the race crossing, when access roads will be closed.
In the last 2 km of the route, 3 gates will be established for the transit of pedestrians, closed 15 minutes before the passage of the caravan and the race: Viale Firenze, 10 m before Viale Regina Elena (1.3 km before the arrival). Piazzale Gondar (850 m before the finish). Lungomare Giuseppe Di Vittorio, near Via La Voce della Luna (315 m before the arrival)
To cross the San Marino highway, two crossing points manned by the police will be active: SS 72/via Amola/via Montevecchio intersection. Intersection SS 72/via La Pastora/SP 49
Alternative routes
To bypass the race route, use the underpass of via Rodriguez, which can also be reached from the south via via Varisco-via Macanno-via Acquabona-via Coriano. The road system inside the Gros will be passable in both directions to facilitate access to via Coriano.
