There’s just over a week left until the ITTF World Masters Table Tennis Championships Roma 2024 – presented by Stag Globalwho will see in the race from 7 to 14 July at the Nuova Fiera di Roma 6,100 athletes over 40 (with 30% women)coming from well 111 countries from five continentsand they will take them to the capital around ten thousand table tennis enthusiasts.
The event will be promoted in the splendid Lazio tourist resort of Sperlongawhich is part of the circuit of Most beautiful villages in Italy, Friday 28 Junewith an event organized by Italian Table Tennis Federationin collaboration with Lazio region and the Municipality of Sperlonga.
From 5pm in the ice rink (Ex Giardinetti)in Via Cristoforo Colomboto the tables assembled thanks to the support of the FITeT Lazio Regional Committeea free activity will take place Table Tennis Xthe fun and inclusive version of table tennis, which uses wooden rackets, without rubber covers, and larger and heavier balls than those used in competitions, to facilitate outdoor practice. There will be a stand where you can receive information about the world championship in Rome.
At 7 pm, the Councillor for Tourism, Environment, Sport, Climate Change, Energy Transition and Sustainability of the Lazio Region, Elena Palazzo, the Delegate for Sport of the Municipality of Sperlonga, are expected. George Vaccarothe director of the Masters World Championships, Joseph Marinoand the president of the FITeT Lazio Regional Committee, Andrea Pizziwho will be available to the media, to then grab their rackets and compete at the tables.
Subsequently the free activity and the promotion of the World Cup will continue until 9pm.
