In Rennes, Bati-Armor begins construction of an 11,000 m² building for Crédit Mutuel Arkea

Within two and a half years, the Rennes teams of Crédit Mutuel Arkea will move to a brand new RE 2020 building of 11,000 m² located in the heart of the Courrouze district in Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande, south of from Rennes. Work has just started and delivery is scheduled for the last quarter of 2024. Its construction has been entrusted to the developer Bati-Armor.

Sustainability, positive social impact and energy savings are among the challenges of this project (RE 2020 – HQE Sustainable Building Certification – Passiv’Haus Certification – BREEAM Excellent Certification). These are indeed criteria that Crédit Mutuel Arkéa, a mission-driven company, cannot ignore. Initiated in the 2000s between Rennes and Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande, the Courrouze eco-district where this building is built is located on the edge of the ring road, a stone’s throw from metro line B. « As a territorial bank, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa attaches great importance to maintaining its decision-making centers at the local level. These new premises in Rennes will allow us to accommodate numerous teams from our different departments, subsidiaries and entities. “, says Véronique Crouzier, Director of Dynamics and Human Relations at Crédit Mutuel Arkéa.

The future building designed by the Chartier Dalix architectural firm is R+7 with a partially open top floor. Square in shape, it has a total surface area of nearly 11,000 m². Modern and ecological, the facades are punctuated by wooden posts and joinery. The construction is completed on the edge of the ring road by a multi-storey car park with 220 spaces on 4 levels with photovoltaic panels on the roof, which acts as a barrier against noise pollution. The project is a proposed response to the challenges of evolution of office buildings: its architecture is intended to support open-plan working methods open to the outside. At the heart of the building, the atrium is a large open space that lets views flow from one floor to another, while allowing easy natural ventilation. », Indicates the architectural firm.

Strong environmental ambitions

The project favors the use of raw materials with reasonable use of concrete. Il reached the RE 2020 level and obtained: the Biosourced level 2 label (24 kg/m2 SDP), an HQE Sustainable Building Certification – Excellent level, the Passiv’Haus level with heating and cooling requirements of the building less than 15 kWh /m2.an, as well as BREEAM certification – Excellent Level. These are indeed criteria on which Crédit Mutuel Arkéa pays particular attention, in line with its status as a mission-driven company. ” LThe completion of this ambitious project is a continuation of our strengthening of tertiary activity. The building perfectly illustrates the company’s values, environmental innovations and architectural quality. It also demonstrates our positioning and our commitment to major accounts. This is indeed the start of a 3rd significant project in the Rennes area with the recent launch of a 20,000 m² program on the former Caisse d’Épargne site and then soon in the fall, that of the Samsic headquarters in the ZAC EuroRennes », concludes Damien Savey, Managing Director of Bati-Armor. The building will bring together Rennes teams from Crédit Mutuel Arkéa during the 4th quarter of 2026.
