Olbia That marriage that promised happiness turned into hell day after day. She was trapped inside a family where she was forced to satisfy everyone’s needs, she was subjected to orders and violence from them which also occurred in front of her children. She was voluntarily kept in a state of isolation, deprived of friendships and even of learning the Italian language to hinder her integration, and reduced to a state of slavery, perpetually at the service of her husband and her family. These are the serious accusations made by the Tempio Prosecutor’s Office against an entire family unit – the husband, the husband’s two sisters, and the father-in-law – who for years mistreated, harassed, physically and psychologically overwhelmed a young 25-year-old woman.

Abuse that, according to the accusations, often occurred in front of the couple’s two minor children, alleged victims, in turn, of witnessed violence. The legal case that sees the four members of the family (of North African origin, resident in a town in Gallura) under accusation, will be dealt with in the coming days by the Tempio court. The Prosecutor’s Office has closed the investigations and requested that all of them be sent to trial. For about a year, they have been subject to the precautionary measure of the ban on approaching the alleged victim of abuse ordered by the investigating judge of the Tempio court, at the request of the public prosecutor. The procedures of the Red Code were applied. The woman was and is still assisted by the Prospettiva donna anti-violence center in Olbia. The file will arrive at a preliminary hearing in July and the investigating judge Alessandro Cossu will have to decide on the referral to trial requested by the Prosecutor’s Office. The husband, sisters-in-law and father-in-law are accused of mistreatment in the family and personal injury, the husband also of sexual violence. The defendants are assisted by lawyers Antonio Fois and Giampaolo Murrighile. The woman and her children will join the civil action with theattorney Diana Bandinu.
