Paiper Festival: A Musical and Cultural Journey to Foligno
The Paiper Festival, an event organized by the association of the same name and sponsored by the Region of Umbria, the Municipality of Foligno and the Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Foligno, will be held from July 5 to 7 in various squares of Foligno. This festival offers a variety of events, including concerts, music from the 60s and 70s, fashion shows and market exhibitions.
The events will take place mainly in Piazza San Domenico, but also in other squares of the city such as Piazza Don Minzoni, Piazza Matteotti, Largo Carducci, Piazza del Grano, Palazzo Trinci, the former Piermarini Theater and the Oratorio del Crocifisso.
Carlo Delicati, of the Paiper Festival association, illustrated the program of the event, which will be presented by Manuela Marinangeli. The festival will begin on Friday 5 July with a fashion show at 10pm in Piazza San Domenico, followed by a show with Enzo Persueder Show at 11pm. In Piazza Don Minzoni, starting from 7pm, there will be DJs Mozart, Carlino Mix and Mr Colin. In Piazza Matteotti, however, there will be a journey through the music of the 60s and 70s, with the Paiper Talent competition at 9.30pm, followed by Sauro and Daniela at 10.00pm and Bandiera Gialla at 11.00pm.
On Saturday, in Piazza San Domenico, at 9.30pm, there will be a concert with the Belfiore Philharmonic and the singers Augusto Bartolini, Moà, Alessandra Ceciarelli, Victoria, Alyssa Colavita, Davide Giannini. At 11.00 pm the film “The Boys from Columbus” will be screened. In Piazza Don Minzoni, starting from 7pm, there will be DJs Spranga, Carlino Mix and Mr Colin. In Piazza Matteotti, the evening will culminate with the final of the Paiper Talent competition at 9.30pm, followed by a ballroom dance with Renzo Tomassini at 10.30pm.
On Sunday, in Piazza San Domenico, at 10:30 pm, there will be the Pop Party – Big final party with the children of the stars – with Dj Carlino Mix, Dj Carlo Marini, Pedro and the Paiperine. In Piazza Don Minzoni, at 6:00 pm, there will be the Aperipaiper with dj Faust T. In Piazza Matteotti, the final evening will begin at 9:30 pm with the winner of the Paiper Talent competition who will perform with Bandiera Gialla, followed by Bandiera Gialla at 10:00 pm.
Every day, from 6.00pm to 11.00pm, there will be various initiatives throughout the city, including Radio Paiper in collaboration with DOT Radio in Largo Carducci, Paiper Dinner at “Cena dai grandparents” in Piazza Matteotti, an exhibition market of Vintage in Piazza del Grano and Palazzo Trinci, an exhibition of furniture from the 60s and 70s at the former Piermarini Theater and an exhibition of the clothes of cinema icons at the Oratorio del Crocifisso.
