AFRAGOLA/PESCARA – An inmate of the Pescara prison, in prison for robbery, used his reward permits to carry out further robberies in the Neapolitan area, accompanied by two accomplices.
The group of criminals was identified by the Carabinieri of Afragola while they were preparing to commit another robbery, this time against a supermarket. The gang is accused of having taken part in a robbery that took place last May 13th at the shopping center “Le porte di Napoli” in Afragola, where they targeted a jewelry store, now they must also answer for receiving stolen goods, possession and illegal carrying of a firearm.
The investigations, conducted under the direction of the Naples North prosecutor’s office, revealed that one of the three young men was already detained in Pescara for the same crime in question, therefore the military intercepted them while they were preparing for a robbery at the supermarket, proceeding with the their arrest and transfer to Poggioreale prison.
Before each attack, they carried out inspections to identify video surveillance systems and possible escape routes. They used stolen cars, mainly Fiat Pandas, along with fake weapons and silicone masks to hide their identities.
