Anticipation is growing, as well as curiosity, for the next Sanremo Festival hosted by Carlo Conti: here’s what the presenter has decided.
As had already been announced in recent weeks, the 2025 edition of the famous event will be very different from those conducted by Amadeus even if it is not in the Florentine presenter’s plans to completely overturn the work done in recent years by his predecessors.
Simply, as he himself explained to Tg1 Morning Summer, some small changes will be made more suited to their style. In any case, despite the numerous rumors circulating on the net, Conti firmly declared: “They won’t be there”. Here is one of the novelties of the next Festival revealed.

As anticipated, il Sanremo Festival of Carlo Conti will be partly different from that of his predecessors Claudio Baglioni and Amadeus. A Tg1 Morning Summer, The ‘new’ artistic director has revealed what some of the changes will be which will host the famous musical event.
The first substantial difference is the reinstatement of the New Proposals circuit, which will not feed the number of Bigs competing. In this way there will be fewer songs and the evenings will not last until late at night. “There will be a division between young and Big.”
Carlo Conti declared. “The winner of the new proposals will not compete with the big names” he added immediately afterwards. “I can’t resist, being of a certain age, I put the DopoFestival. I’ll finish first, so there will be fewer songs in the competition.”
In continuity with the previous editions, however, there will be no eliminations next year either. As for the choice of songs, Conti revealed that he feels a lot of responsibility on his shoulders. “I often spoke about it with Amadeus, having the same artistic path, music is the fil rouge of our life. The choice of songs is more important than anything else, the rest is like preparing a show”.
The artistic director finally took the opportunity to deny an indiscretion circulated online in recent months. “They won’t be there” he said without mincing words, referring to Leonardo Pieraccioni and Giorgio Panariello. “They won’t be there, it would be trivial. Maybe they call me during an evening.”
So we’ll see. In the meantime the dates have been announced Sanremo. The next Italian Music Festival will air from Tuesday 4 to Saturday 8 February 2025. The countdown has officially started.
