GIULIANOVA. Matthew Francionithe first of those elected in the ranks of the Brothers of Italy, will receive heavy delegations in the new executive led by the mayor Jwan Costantini. In addition to holding the role of deputy mayor, Francioni will have the responsibility for public works, previously managed by the former councilor Giampiero Di Candido. Di Candido, who placed fourth in the administrative elections on the “Obiettivo Giulianova” list, will not be part of the new council, but he could be given important roles in the future.
The new municipal council of Costantini’s second term will be officially presented on Saturday morning. In addition to Francioni, another important role within the executive will be assigned to Paul Giorginithe first of the elected in absolute terms of this electoral round with 513 votes in the civic list “Giulianova Turismo”. Giorgini has renounced the position of deputy mayor to maintain the internal political balance of the majority and it seems that he will also manage the budget department, previously in the hands of the external Help Ciliberti. In addition, Giorgini will continue to deal with the participating companies, including Giulianova Patrimonio, which has been in difficult financial conditions for years. The presidency of the municipal council will be entrusted to Roberto Mastrillifirst of those elected in the “Obiettivo Giulianova” list. Federico Montebello, who came second in the same list, will have the delegation to sport, even without obtaining a department. In the new council there will be no place for the reference list of the mayor “Jwan Costantini mayor”, who has elected two councilors: Marco Carton e Paolo Bonaduce. The renunciation of an assessorship by the civic body of Costantini, leaves room for Mark DiCarlo, elected in “Giulianova tourism”, who joins the council as councilor and will continue to deal with events and tourism, key sectors for the city, precisely by will of the mayor himself. Finally the former deputy mayor Lydia Albani will be in the executive, retaining the delegations to social policies and education, while for Nausicaa Cameli the department of culture is looming. Delegations for urban planning and commerce, for the moment, remain in the hands of the mayor.
