World Day of Social Service, June 29th in Potenza

World Social Service Day will be celebrated on Saturday 29 June 2024 in Potenza in the Provincial Council Hall, from 9.00 am. The event – we read in a note from the president of the Order of Social Workers, Giuseppe Paolo – represents the final stage of an approach that the Regional Order of Social Workers of Basilicata has made and will continue to make, through meetings with all the Territorial Areas of the region. The Buen Vivir model ensures that aspects of life are in harmony with each other, for common and not individual well-being. A concept in full harmony with the responsibilities of social workers and with the affirmation of the principles of defense of the common good, justice and social equity and, in the promotion of the culture of subsidiarity, prevention and health, so that people create reciprocal relationships within the communities to which they belong. The City of Potenza – Italian youth capital 2024, was the first and will also be the last stop of a “60-day journey – Round trip” during which we talked about sharing and innovation to live well together and not alone.
“The theme of WSWD 2024, as widely presented by President Giuseppe Palo, represents the need to innovate and renew our knowledge in order to build a better world. The Buen Vivir model aims for all aspects of life to be in harmony with each other, with the aim that well-being is common and not individual”.
Among others, the president of the National Council of the Order of Social Workers Barbara Rosina will participate in the World Social Service Day of Basilicata.
