The Faba company from Carbonera is the winner of the Cherry Excellence award. The recognition was awarded as part of “Cherry Made in Italy”, the initiative promoted by Cherry Bank with the aim of promoting creativity, defense and valorisation of Italian excellence, through support for the virtuous projects of SMEs.

The first “Cherry Excellence” prize includes a non-repayable contribution with an intended use worth 20 thousand euros, useful for supporting and sustaining a growth project. Faba is an innovative company that focuses on the education and entertainment of children through its screen-free Storytelling and audio content production, promoting listening, learning and imagination. It offers audio stories, songs and activities not only in Italian but also in French, Spanish and English. Thanks to his Storyteller, he aims to develop autonomy, language and cognitive skills away from smartphones and tablets.

With transversal contents, divided according to different age groups, and an integrated educational approach, Faba offers itself as an ally for parents in the growth path of their children. The company has announced that it intends to use the “Cherry Excellence” award to support the path towards greater sustainability, becoming a benefit company and obtaining B-Corporation certification.

Lanificio Paoletti (Follina, Treviso, textile production) ranked second, while Materviva (Tolentino, Macerata, production and sale of organic products) came in third place. The Bank provided both with a free ESG assessment drawn up by Cherry Bank partners who are experts in the field. The analysis will be useful for studying the impact of business activities and for outlining a strategy aimed at improving one’s score compared to the average sector score.

The selection of the companies was entrusted to a committee made up of representatives of Cherry Bank’s management and approximately 20 students from the Venice School of Management-Department of Management of the Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.

“Through this initiative – explains Maddalena Ganz, Marketing and Communications Manager of Cherry Bank – our Institute aims to support virtuous small businesses in a growth path that will increasingly make them spokespersons of Made in Italy, acting as a driving force for their consolidation in the short and medium term. We believe in the value of SMEs and we want to be at their side to help them best express a potential that in some cases risks remaining dormant, allowing them to achieve growth in terms of innovation and sustainability”.

«We are incredibly honored to receive the Cherry Excellence award from Cherry Bank – says Matteo Fabbrini, CEO of Faba –. This recognition is a testament to our commitment to creating a better future for children, through innovation and sustainability. With the non-repayable contribution of 20 thousand euros we intend to strengthen our path towards greater sustainability by becoming a benefit company and obtaining B-Corporation certification. We thank Cherry Bank for their support and for believing in our mission to educate and entertain children in a healthy and stimulating way, away from screens.”
