in Forlì the manager will be Hera Comm

Starting from Monday 1 July, Hera Comm, a subsidiary of the Hera Group, will be the new electricity operator for the approximately 29 thousand families in the province of Forlì-Cesena who have not chosen free market offers and who are therefore currently served in the Greater protection. With the end of the protected market, these customers will automatically move to the transitional Gradual Protection service, which will be provided by the Hera Group. The multi-utility has, in fact, won the tender called by the Single Buyer for the supply of citizens currently served by Maggior Tutela in 37 Italian provinces and metropolitan cities including Forlì-Cesena and, in Emilia-Romagna, also Bologna, Ravenna, Ferrara and Rimini.

The conditions of the Gradual Protection service
The conditions of the Gradual Protection service, the same throughout Italy, are those defined by the Regulatory Authority for Energy, Networks and the Environment (ARERA). There will be two main components of the energy price: a first part, which will be variable, covers the energy supply costs, and will derive from the average of the wholesale market prices (National Single Price – PUN). Added to this is a fixed component, aimed at covering marketing costs which, by virtue of the tender discounts, will result in savings for the customer compared to the current Greater Protection.
As regards billing, this will continue to be bimonthly.

Automatic transition and without any charge. Continuity of supply guaranteed
The transition from the current manager will be automatic, therefore without the need to sign a new contract and without any burden for citizens. Thanks to this automation, which will also concern any bank debits, the continuity of the electricity supply will be guaranteed to everyone.

For vulnerable customers, the greatest protection remains
The arrival of the new manager will not affect customers defined as vulnerable by ARERA, for whom the Greater Protection service with the current supplier will remain active. Vulnerability is triggered with one of the following requirements: being aged 75 or over, being a beneficiary of social bonuses, having particular health conditions or a disability, residing on smaller, unconnected islands or in emergency homes following disasters.

Information at the local offices. The dedicated toll-free number is already active
For any information on the transition in progress, citizens can contact the network of Hera branches in the province: in Forlì, Cesena, Cesenatico, Savignano sul Rubicone and Santa Sofia. For customers currently in Greater Protection, Hera has activated a toll-free number (800.554.000) which can be contacted for any information on the transition in progress. Furthermore, a section dedicated to the end of electricity protection has been set up on the Hera Comm website.

The Hera service model: customer at the centre, ethical rigor and energy transition
In providing this important new service in a historically established area such as the province of Forlì-Cesena, Hera will maintain the same attention to the customer already in place on all the other services managed: focus on problem solving and consultancy, through both remote channels ( MyHera app, web, call center) and physical (5 branches), rigorous ethical conduct in proposing its solutions and a strong propensity to accompany families and businesses towards renewable sources and energy efficiency, to support them on the path towards the decarbonisation of consumption.
