On the evening of Wednesday 26 June 2024 a fire suddenly flared up in a drying plant of a pharmaceutical company in VeronaFour workers were injured and transferred to hospital for treatment.

Just before 8pm on Wednesday 26 June 2024, firefighters intervened inside a pharmaceutical company in via Roveggia in Verona for the fire of a drying plant.
Two fire engines, three fire engines and the ladder truck, the NBCR (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical, Radiological) wagon were used, for a total of 20 operators assisted by the guard officer, who began the shutdown operations.

Four workers injured, immediately assisted by the healthcare staff of Suem 118 who rushed with 4 ambulances. After initial treatment, the unfortunates were then transferred to hospital: three for light burns and one for breathing in smoke.
After evacuating the entire company, the teams immediately put out the flames and began a widespread search reclamation operation of all the intake system ducts.
A nearby gym was also evacuated as the ventilation of the structure sucked smoke from the fire into the premises.
