2.9 million euros arrive to make it happen – SetteNews

BCC Leasing, the BCC Iccrea Group company specialized in leasing operations, has recently completed a loan of 12.9 million euros for the design, construction, maintenance (ordinary and extraordinary) and management for 20 years of the new plant natatorium in Legnano. As stated in a note, the operation in synergy with BCC Busto Garolfo and Buguggiate and in Temporary Business Association with Techne SpA and A&T Europe SpA (builders) and P&G Srl (manager) benefited from PNRR funds for a further 2, 5 million euros.

This is therefore an initiative that exploits the synergy between the PNRR contribution obtained by the Municipality and the financial leasing of public works in order to create, by 2026, a facility dedicated not only to Legnano sports associations, but also to local communities that will be able to return to having a point of reference for the discipline of swimming and for recreational activities.

More precisely, the new structure, effectively replacing the current one in via Gorizia, will have a children’s pool and two 25-metre internal pools: an 8-lane competitive pool and a 4-lane, deep training/warm-up pool for competitions. 2 and 1.2 meters respectively.
There will also be a grandstand with a capacity of around 200 seats, new changing rooms and an entrance with bar and reception which will overlook a glass window from which you can watch the courses. All in a building with energy performance 20% lower than the threshold set for very low energy consumption buildings.
Finally, the 50 meter summer pool will be redeveloped, which will be redefined with three different functional areas: an area dedicated to swimming (non-competitive) and fitness, a relaxation area and a spray park area intended for the little ones.

The swimming pool returns to the availability of a catchment area of more than 70 thousand people, and for twelve months of the year.

Enrico Giancoli, General Director of BCC Leasing commented: “We are satisfied with the conclusion of this operation which, through the instrument of the public-private partnership, has allowed us to guarantee the municipality certainty on the times, costs and professionalism of the various actors involved. In fact, through this initiative we support economic planning and territorial planning, thanks to an overall vision of the interventions intended to reactivate the local economy, combat urban degradation and guarantee a service to the community”.

For us it is a source of great satisfaction to have identified the public/private partnership as the tool that has paved the way for the solution to a long-standing problem for Legnano, such as that of the swimming pool. If, in fact, the insufficiency of the old system has been talked about for about fifteen years, it was at the end of 2019, following the collapse of a glass window, that the Legnano swimming pool entered a difficult phase, which became further complicated in the following years to the point of make it necessary not to renovate the existing one, but to create a new one. And it is thanks to the contribution of the members of the temporary business grouping, including BCC Leasing, that Legnano will finally be able to have, from 2026, a structure worthy of its swimming tradition and in line with the increasingly complex use needs expressed by users,” said mayor Lorenzo Radice.
