Mauro Bonarrigo new general secretary CISL Fp Ragusa Siracusa

The general council of the CISL federation representing public employees, convened on the occasion in Ragusa, elected Mauro Bonarrigo as general secretary, in the presence of Angelo Marinelli, member of the national CISL FP secretariat, of the secretary of CISL FP Sicilia, Daniele Passanisi, and Vera Carasi, confederal secretary of the CISL Ragusa Siracusa (in the photo above from the left Milici, Bonarrigo, Passanisi and Farruggio). The newly elected secretary, already a member of the general secretariat, takes over the leadership of the CISL Fp Ragusa Siracusa from Daniele Passanisi who has moved on to the regional summit of the federation. Bonarrigo will be joined by Sandra Farruggio, confirmed in the role of territorial secretary, and by Andrea Milici, who will be the new member (in the photo below from the left Marinelli, Carasi and Passanisi).

Bonarrigo, employee of the ASP of Syracuse, has long held the delegation for Healthcare, the sector in which he grew up and was trained as a trade union, distinguishing himself for his high competence and ability to discuss and resolve high-level issues but also for the constant presence and willingness to listen to workers.

“I thank the Cisl Fp for the trust placed in me and all the members of the general council who voted for me – declares Bonarrigo – recognizing in me a delicate role and high responsibility of representation, which requires diplomatic ability and authority at the same time. I feel gratified by the elective attribution of a position of such great importance but I am equally strong in my awareness that my investiture is the result of a shared path and collaboration with a mature and cohesive management group, which is increasingly strengthened by the many new people who actively approach the union in the interest of improving the conditions of workers and public services. We are aware of being an advantaged community because united by the sense of union belonging, ready to face the future challenges of public work as we will continue to invest in the training of our union leaders to increase their skills. It is this model of regeneration, of individuals and their preparation, that makes change happen. A participatory and democratic way of doing union work – concludes Bonarrigo – that has already seen us excel in the last RSU competition in all sectors of the Public Administration and that, given the trend of constant growth in membership, will certainly allow us to be protagonists once again also in the next electoral round, in 2025, strong in our widespread presence in all workplaces and always ready for dialogue and participation of workers”.

“I wish good work to Mauro and the new secretariat and I am sure – underlines Daniele Passanisi – that, together with the entire management group, they will carry forward a project of relaunch and renewal in the name of continuity. In these years we have built a strong union reality in the territory of Ragusa-Siracusa, where the terms of representation of our acronym have grown rapidly and continue to increase, demonstrating a loyalty of workers who recognize themselves in the values and tangibility of the actions of the Cisl Fp”.
