Viterbo – The night-time pedestrian area returns to Corso Italia.

For the summer period and until October 2nd, from Corso to Piazza delle Erbe, Via Saffi and Via Orologio Vecchio (in the first stretch), cars will be stopped from 9pm until 1am.

An extension of the area reserved for pedestrians which adds to the usual opening hours from 10.30am to 1pm and from 3pm to 8pm. Dinner break and then we start again.

There is the ordinance signed by the director Vinciotti. Motivated as every year, by the greater turnout in the center, even in the evening hours.

“During the summer period – reports the provision – with particular reference to the evening and night hours, the historic city center is affected by demonstrations, events and initiatives of various kinds. In these circumstances there is a notable influx of pedestrians and at the same time a significant intensification of vehicular traffic in the historic center”.

No cars in the designated areas, with a further warning: “To prevent vehicles from entering the pedestrian area, in via Mazzini, from the intersection with via Casa di Santa Rosa to Corso Italia, the circulation of all vehicles is prohibited categories of vehicles every day of the week, with the following times: from 10.30 am to 1 pm; from 3pm to 8pm; from 9pm to 1am the following day”. Emergency, law enforcement and rescue vehicles are an exception.
