MASSA – As part of the rich summer program of live entertainment in the Municipality of Massa, which embraces the Marina, the villages and the most evocative places in the area, the theater festival IL TEATRO PRÊT-À-PORTER kicks off. Cultural project that is part of the very rich program of PALCOSCENICI STELLATI 2024 – created in collaboration with Fondazione Toscana Spettacolo onlus -, made up of forty events, all with free entry, designed to animate the cultural life of the city and the territory starting from Friday 28 June .
The debut is designed for the little ones – the audience of the future – and their families. Friday 28 June (9.30 pm, as for all shows), in the town of Romagnano, in Piazza Albania, the Petali di stelle company will be on stage, led by Leonardo D’Angelo (master puppeteer), with The Vengeance of Captain Hook, show based on the series The Stories of Peter Pan.
THE PRÊT-À-PORTER THEATRE, a festival organised around three themes – The Night of the Puppets (curated by Leo D’Angelo), The Night of the Circus (curated by Massimo Minucci Fist of Fire and Fem Shows), A Stroll with Crime… and More (produced by Giocamistero) – and dedicated to the villages of Massa and the coast, represents a highly significant initiative, aimed at bringing high-quality shows to local communities.
From 28 June to 29 August, the squares, courtyards, streets and villages will be transformed into open-air stages, creating a unique context in which theatrical art can express itself and dialogue with the territory. This event, supported by the Municipality of Massa and FTS onlus, aims to democratize access to the theatre, offering an inclusive and diversified cultural experience.
The summer program includes, in fact, a vast range of events – prose theatre, music, dance, contemporary circus, children’s theater and entertainment for the little ones – which are part of the Audience Development project, at the center of the objectives of the two organizers .
IL TEATRO PRÊT-À-PORTER not only enhances and conveys theatrical art to all age groups, but also promotes the Massa area, making its most characteristic spaces usable and vital. The exhibition is an invitation to rediscover and experience theater in a new dimension, in which art becomes an instrument of social cohesion and valorisation of cultural heritage. It is an unmissable opportunity to experience the magic of theater in evocative contexts, while promoting the beauty of our villages and the coast.
