For the first time Amalfi hosts the Volley Awards 2024. The event – promoted by the Italian Volleyball Federation, CT Fipav Territorial Committee of Salerno, with the patronage of the Municipality of Amalfi led by the Mayor Daniele Milano, in collaboration with the Department of Sport and at the Sports Facilities – will take place on Monday 1st July at 6pm in Piazza Municipio.
The Volley Awards are the final event of the territorial championships, with a large moment dedicated to the awarding of prizes to the winning teams of the first and second place of each championship (this year there are 25 territorial tournaments).
In addition, local members and clubs that have distinguished themselves during the 2023/2024 competitive season in the volleyball field will be rewarded.
The following will be present: Councillors of the Municipality of Amalfi, Ilaria Cuomo and Francesco De Riso; the president of the territorial committee of Salerno, Max Pessolano; the Coni contact person Paola Berardino; the federal councilor Happy Old Man and the president of the Campania Regional Committee, Guido Pascoli.
Also making up the parterre are the territorial presidents of the Campania committees of the Fipav Volleyball Federation and the civil and military authorities, with a delegation from the Guardia di Finanza, the Carabinieri and the State Police who collaborate with the Italian Volleyball Federation of Salerno , starting from the Volley S3 event.
Extremely enthusiastic about the President Pessolano, proud to be able to reward athletes in a very prestigious setting like Amalfi. «An event in support of sustainability – he insists – because all participants will leave with a reserved ferry from Salerno. Therefore respect for the environment and zero impact, avoiding the car.”
