These are the last days to participate in the “Franco Marchiaro” national journalism award, named after the Alessandria journalist, former head of “La Stampa”.
Paper articles, web, videos, photos, podcasts and services, appearing in international, national, regional and local newspapers, on institutional social accounts or forming part of the aforementioned web newspapers in the period between 1 July 2023 and next 30 June they can be submitted by email to [email protected] no later than Monday 15 July.
There are two sections:
- The first reserved for articles, photos, videos, podcasts or services on the Alessandria province;
- the second reserved for articles, photos, videos, podcasts or services on the North West (Piedmont – excluding the province of Alessandria -, Valle d’Aosta and Liguria).
The winner of each section will be awarded a cash prize of 2,000 euros, the second placed a prize of 1,000 euros and the third place a sum of 500 euros.
The award ceremony is scheduled for next Monday, October 7, and on that occasion the “Witness of Information” Award will be assigned to Ferruccio De Bortoli, former director of “Corriere della Sera” and “Il Sole 24 Ore”.
The tenth anniversary of the Award, established by Doctor Antonio Maconi who gave the SolidAL Foundation a bequest received from Franco Marchiaro, linked to the establishment of a journalistic award, will be celebrated with a conference on Artificial Intelligence and information which will take place concurrently with the award ceremony as part of the Banking Foundations Culture Week.
