(Agen Food) – Ravina (TR), 26 June. – The new one was recently inaugurated during an exclusive ceremony FORST beer garden “The Tower”, a traditional beer garden, with around 200 seats, open every day from 12.00 to 23.00.

This historic jewel of 14th century joins the famous one Forsterbräu of Trento (near “Pilati Donati” palace) and underlines not only theexcellent beer culture Of FORST Beer but also the commitment and investments that the famous South Tyrolean company is dedicating to the catering sector.

The “Tower”, already mentioned in some documents from 1339, is considered a place of great historical value. Crowned by Ghibelline battlements, it has an inviting internal courtyard with a panoramic view of the city. An outdoor beer garden with an adjoining garden: a large green oasis for special occasions and celebrations.

“The walls are the part of the house we trust, ancient witnesses that combine tradition and innovation. Because the conservation of culture, tradition and one’s roots, in constant harmony with nature and with an eye to the future, are essential elements of the FORST Birra philosophy. With this in mind, the renovation works were carried out in close collaboration with the authority responsible for the protection of the fine arts heritage. The success story of Forsterbräu Trento continues thanks to the long-standing partnership with the manager Nicola Malossini. “La Torre” by Ravina is a unique jewel”, he has declared Cellina von Mannstein Of FORST beer.

The interior was designed with warm walnut elements, Victorian coils and the unmistakable “Margherita” terracotta tiles, already known in FORST restaurants. Two smoked glass chandeliers hang from the ceiling, inspired by the design of the architect Carlo Scarpa.

The traditional-style FORST beer garden, with generous cobblestone paving, cobbled paths and floral gardens, blends with modern components. An example of this are the handcrafted high chairs made from vintage tractor seats.

The renovation works were carried out entirely in the spirit of Birra FORST: with a feminine touch and the right desire to preserve traditions, adapting to the surrounding environment. The valuable restoration was carried out according to the theory of minimal intervention, preserving the original character of the places.

From the early design stages, we collaborated with the Superintendency for Cultural Heritage to find the most suitable solutions for the historical context and carried out by the same craftsmen used for the renovation of the oldest brewery in Trento, the Forsterbräu di Trento. Furthermore, careful lighting design allows the beauty of the tower and its walls to be enhanced in the evening hours, giving a fascinating touch

For these reasons, the Forst “La Torre” Biergarten is not just a place of refreshment but a project that enhances and respects the history of Ravina, combining tradition and innovation.

Background: The Ravina Tower, described by A. Gorfer in his volume I Castelli del Trentino (vol. III, pp. 266-277, Trento 1990), represents a place of great historical value. Although written mentions are scarce, a document from 1339 reports that the church of Santa Marina di Ravina was dominated by a domus called “dell’Orco”. Fiefdom of the Schrattenberg family since 1540, it was transformed into a rural residence with works completed in 1594. Next to the tower there are two small service buildings and a chapel, dedicated to the Exaltation of the Cross and mentioned since 1720.
