Two people were seriously injured in an explosion during an attempted assault on a
ATM in Bitonto with the marmot technique. As far as we know, the two were with other accomplices, probably three, who took them by car to Bari and then dumped them on the street at the entrance to the Polyclinic. Rescued by doctors, the two are in serious condition: one is hospitalized in the intensive care unit with brain hemorrhages, the other is undergoing delicate surgery because the explosion would have hit him full in the face.

A similar episode in Bitonto had occurred just ten days ago, on June 15, when a commando blew up the ATM of Monte dei Paschi di Siena, on Corso Vittorio Emanuele, taking away 50 thousand euros.
