A letterbox to insert the medical referral with your telephone number written and wait for someone to call back to make an appointment. This is how blood tests are done at the Collemarino clinic, the one in via Ricci, which has already led to popular mobilization because, according to residents, it risks closing within a year, leaving the population without a very useful service. The demonstration lies in the little by little dismantling of the services guaranteed up to now such as a general medical clinic, a physiotherapist and blood tests. For two weeks the analysis service has been reduced. Previously you could go three times a week, without making an appointment. Now only twice, on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from 7 to 8.30 and by appointment. A sign warned citizens that they are confused because the reservation is rudimentary. Either you enter the request and wait for the call or you can send an email. The novelty would be linked to the transfer of a nurse, who was responsible for providing a cup service on site, to another role. For a few months there has no longer even been an outpatient service for disabled adults. The residents had started collecting signatures to deliver to the mayor to have greater guarantees that the clinic would remain in the territory and they exceeded one thousand signatures. A citizen committee was also created called “Committee for the protection of the Ancona Nord health service” which is made up of seven members representing over a thousand people, all living between Collemarino and Palombina. The president is Donatella Paolini: “Now we can speak and participate in decisions regarding healthcare and in defense of public health” said the president. The committee took part in a demonstration last week under the regional headquarters, promoted by Abaco, a consumer association, against the problem of waiting lists.
