Andrea Belotti has signed a preliminary agreement with Como 1907
Como 1907 is pleased to announce the signing of a preliminary agreement with Andrea Belotti, who will officially become a Como player on 1 July 2024. The striker, who was part of the Italian national team that won Euro 2020, has signed a two-year contract . He comes from Fiorentina, where he was on loan from Roma.
Nicknamed “Il Gallo”, Belotti began his career with UC Albinoleffe in Lombardy, before signing for Palermo, where he won a Serie B title. In 2015 he moved to Torino, becoming their eighth best goalscorer all times, before joining Roma in 2022.
Cesc Fàbregas, coach of Como 1907, declared regarding the hiring of Belotti: “We are very happy that Andrea has become part of the Como 1907 family. Now that we are preparing to face the return to Serie A, in a season important and exciting, his experience in this championship will be fundamental and we know that he has the ability to be a formidable goalscorer.”
On his arrival at the club, Andrea comments: “I chose Como 1907 because I was struck by the very ambitious project that the coach and the owners showed me. Speaking with the coach I understood his idea of football and his way of playing every match. It was an important call because his mentality fits perfectly with mine. There is everything you need to do well.”
