Martinsicuro. A sudden storm, a real water bomb with gusts of wind and heavy rainfall.

The wave of bad weather that hit Martinsicuro in particular created inconvenience, damage and flooding. Some underpasses and several roads were flooded, trees fell and even the clock in the bell tower of the Sacred Heart church broke.

The Teramo firefighters carried out approximately thirty interventions due to the persistent bad weather conditions that affected the entire provincial territory and in particular the northern area of ​​the Teramo coast. Teams from the Teramo Command and the Roseto degli Abruzzi and Nereto detachments intervened to drain the basements and remove unsafe trees and branches.

A team from the detachment of Roseto degli Abruzzi intervened on the Giulianova seafront to remove a tall maritime pine in precarious stability conditions. To carry out the intervention it was necessary to use the ladder truck sent to the site by the Teramo Command. The team from the Nereto Detachment, with the support of a team from the Teramo Command, intervened in Alba Adriatica and Martinsicuro to remove unsafe trees and branches. A complex operation to remove a large cypress tree that had fallen on the roof of a building in via Paolucci in Martinsicuro was concluded in the evening.
