In the wonderful territory of Puglia, a new chapter is being written on the subject of promoting sustainable mobility in the name of cycling, and this thanks to the synergy between the Puglia Region, Pugliapromozione, ANCI Puglia and Italian Cycling Federation. Taranto is in fact officially the first Bike Hospitality municipality in the Region, in the context of a project aimed at promoting the area for cycling lovers of all agesas well as increasing the tourist flow in the city and the surrounding area.
In the Ionian city, at the Hall of Mirrors, it was the project was made official with the signing of the agreement between the municipal administration and the Italian Cycling Federation. Those who spoke were Gianni Azzaro (vice mayor of Taranto), Carmine Acquasanta (deputy national vice president of the FCI), Onofrio Di Cillo (vice president of ANCI Puglia), Carlo Pasqualini (head of the Bike Hospitality project and member of the FCI national commission for cycling promotion) , Giuseppe Calabrese (president of the Puglia Federciclismo regional committee), Angelo Turitto (provincial delegate FCI Taranto)Vanni Calò (provincial delegate of FCI Brindisi and representative of the FCI Puglia regional commission for cycling promotion), Dario Di Lisi (Masseria Frutti Rossi), Lino Secchi and Francesco Baldoni (respectively president of the FCI Marche regional committee and promoting member of the Bike Hospitality project).
A “ready to race” jersey
An important moment was the inauguration of the new jersey of the Federciclismo Puglia representatives as a project visibility tool. On the shirt – created by the Campania company D’Aniello Sportswear of Paolo D’Aniello and created by the designer Giuseppe Loverre – there are the logos Regione Puglia, ANCI Puglia, Pugliapromozione, the hashtag We Are in Puglia, the Bike Hospitality logo and the sponsor with the LOME and, indeed, Daniello brands.
The same outfit, shirt plus shorts, it will be worn by all athletes, female and male, from 13 to 18 years old. Who will wear these colors in the major competitions reserved for regional representatives including the Italian championships. The debut will be very soon, in the third round of the Italian Youth Cup for Mtb XC rookies-students scheduled in Saint Nicolas in the Aosta Valley.
After the presentation, the agreement was officially signed between the City of Taranto and the Federciclismo to officially join the Bike Hospitality project.
