BRINDISI – VIALE ALDO MORO CYCLE PATH –

Once again the cycle path of Viale Aldo Moro has become the demagogic refuge of councilor Gianluca Quarta.

The serious and at the same time ridiculous aspect is that in the role of public administrator, which should imply seriousness and correctness in all circumstances, he tries to use a directorial decree from the Ministry of Energy Security as a cudgel only to attempt a coup in this political-administrative phase in which his role as councilor is strongly in question. Everything, however, backfires on him like a boomerang, so much so that not even his offices believed him and the work to complete the cycle path is continuing at great speed.

The decree intended for all municipalities with a population exceeding 50,000 inhabitants, beneficiaries of the Primus program such as Brindisi, allows the project to be modified if necessary, using precise assumptions, derogating from a previous provision but does not allocate resources. In short, the ministry led, needless to say, by Forza Italia passes on any costs of design revision of the cycle paths to the municipalities, but Gianluca Quarta doesn’t say this, because he undoubtedly has no interest in highlighting it. On the other hand, it is clear that Mayor Marchionna’s subsequent statement attempts to take action by trying to contain the excessive exaltation of Gianluca Quarta who evidently did not understand the rationale of the decree.

At this point it would be desirable for Councilor Quarta to ask for explanations directly from Minister Pichetto Fratin of Forza Italia who, between the law on differentiated autonomy which penalizes the south and the law on the premiership which undermines democracy, could clarify all aspects, especially those relating to the serious lack in the decree of a provision of funds for the revision of cycle paths.
In a certain sense we can also imagine the desperation of councilor Gianluca Quarta who, despite being most supported in the latest administrative elections, risks finding himself out of the picture in a few hours.

In our opinion, however, the institutions must always be preserved and citizens must never be made fun of, since the management of public affairs, fortunately, does not depend on the political destiny of councilor Gianluca Quarta.
