It was found in the city park last Friday the lifeless body of a 44-year-old lying in the undergrowth. A young man intent on walking along the forest paths saw him and then raised the alarm. The victim was already known to the police for previous drug addiction problems. The problem is certainly complex and not easy to solve. There are drug dealers because there are consumers, those who use drugs, observed Biancani, who will meet with the Prefect and all the bodies responsible for guaranteeing public safety. Miralfiore park is not safe, it has been talked about for a long time. Syringes and traces of the passage of pushers and regular users were found.
“It is one of the places continually paid attention to by the Prefect, Police Commissioner and the police, including local ones. It is the subject of many committees and will be the protagonist of a meeting to be held on Friday 28 June. We have a project, the Sophia project, which concerns the mapping of video surveillance systems: it is essential that the Miralfiore park is also included in this. Should the subjects be integrated or punished? The judiciary will take care of punishing them, for us at an institutional level it is important to eliminate the phenomenon”, says Emanuela Saveria Greco, Prefect of Pesaro Urbino. And Francesca Montereali, Police Commissioner of Pesaro Urbino, adds: “The police forces are used to doing what they have to do even in conditions of staff shortages. We provide a daily service for the interventions that we are also responsible for within the Miralfiore park. Drug dealing is a complex problem, involving many entities and structures. We must ask ourselves why there is so much demand for narcotic substances.”
