Monza. After a night of hard work and emotions, between 22nd and 23rd June, chasing stage after stage the longed-for finish line of Monza hut on the Resegone, it’s time to recognitions. The 62nd edition of the Monza-Resegone celebrated its winners and its best athletes during the awards ceremony on Friday 28 June, in Piazza Roma.
2024 will be an important year for the historic competition organized by Monza Mountaineering Society. And not just for them over 900 athletes competing but also and above all for the hundred candles blown out since 1924 when it all began. Event that the organizers, together with the president of Monzesi Mountaineers Society, Enrico Dell’Orto and to the institutions, they celebrated on stage, with a dedicated cake.
The organizers were satisfied with an edition that was successful many participants in the race and the success of the new mode in addition to the classic onethe ‘Relay‘, a team relay in which three athletes took turns, covering respectively 15.3 km (from Monza to Osnago), 15.7 km (from Osnago to Olginate) and finally the 12.2 km that separate Olginate from the Capanna Alpinisti Monzesi Refuge. A method that, in the voice of the president Dell’Orto, most likely will be confirmed next year too.

The winners of the Classic mode
The traditional trio race saw the triumph of the The Running Club of Luino, who conquered the summit with an impressive time of 03:09:57 (Roberto Patuzzo: 00:46:13, Davide Perego: 00:46:09, Andrea Soffientini: 00:51:23).
On the second step of the podium went theASD Go Market of Molteno, who completed the race in 03:24:49 (Dario Rigonelli: 00:46:09, Stefano Tavola: 00:49:40, Stephen Villa: 01:02:00).
Closing out the podium is the team Autocogliati A from Lecco, who crossed the finish line in 03:28:37 (Christian Magni: 00:49:07, Andrea Gandini: 00:53:06, Marco Redaelli: 00:57:24).
Immediately after the first three, the Gabetti Monza Always on the run of Monza obtained 4th place with a time of 03:46:37 (Andrea Mannarino: 01:03:00, Gabriele Manazzale: 00:50:37, Lorenzo Lotti: 00:50:00).
Followed in 5th by Business&Sport A from Villasanta at 03:48:10 (Mauro Civati: 00:51:00, Luca Civati: 01:00:10, Daniel Galiero: 01:06:01).
At 6th, the Polisportiva Moving Fornaio of Lissone recorded 03:51:53 (Eleonora Gardelli: 00:56:20, Paolo Gelosa: 00:55:33, Marco Scanziani: 01:00:00).
While in 7th The Sweets of Ivan A of Briosco completed the race in 03:57:33 (Luca Bellardo: 00:56:02, Andrea Pedoto: 01:01:31, Davide Cesari: 01:04:00).
L’Aries Como Athletic Team finished in 03:59:22 in 8th place (Matthew Remains: 01:00:43, Stefano Russo: 00:59:42, Lorenzo Fasana: 00:58:55).
In 9th place Missultini How con 03:59:24 (Alexandru Comarnitchi: 01:00:50, Paul Frigerio: 00:59:34, Simone Gilardi: 00:58:10).
10th position for the team Df Sport Specialist Uragani of Barzanò, as well as first female finisher, who crossed the finish line in 03:59:47 (Ilaria Bergaglio: 01:01:09, Serena Natolini: 00:58:38, Francesca Pretto: 00:58:52).

They follow theASD Daini Carate Brianza in 02:56:27 (Matthew Villarosa: 00:55:19, Lorenzo Maggioni: 00:57:39, Francesco Canclini: 01:03:30) and the Polisportiva Moving Fit Therapy Tecnology by Lissone in 02:58:12 (Giovanni Brattoli: 00:56:28, Andrea Giacomo Bucket: 00:52:27, Joseph Hernis: 01:09:17).
In fourth place was the 3Asen Fisiorun.it from Lecco with a time of 03:00:09 (Michele Button: 00:55:14, Renzo Alessandro Raimondi: 00:58:28, Mattia Moro: 01:06:28), while fifth place went to Energet Business & Sport of Villasanta in 03:01:48 (Manfredi Francesca Malnati: 00:59:11, Stefano Tettamanti: 00:55:33, Matthias Grifa: 01:07:05). Sixth place was obtained by Mb Runners of Monza with 03:09:02 (Matthew Burburan: 00:51:03, Dario Ciardelli: 00:58:06, Christian Dell’Agosto: 01:19:55).
