What you see today is the result of the work of a team of 5 people from Progettone who worked for two working seasons and who created an amphitheater of low stone walls, placed to surround a scene overlooking the valley and which has eight large trunks as a portico in larch. In accordance with the educational spirit of the Museum of Art in Nature, all interventions were carried out using technologies and typologies that reflect local traditions as much as possible” specified Mezzanotte.

The project was commissioned by the Municipality of Stenico, while the works management was carried out by the technical office of the SOVA Service, the execution was carried out by the Progettone staff.
The contribution of the municipal administration and the BoscoArteStenico Association was important, making the purchase of various materials available, installing the lighting fixtures with the related electrical system and preparing the hydraulic system with connection to the main network.

The intervention
The works involved the construction of retaining walls for the slope, made with granite-type stones with limited heights that follow the morphology of the terrain. The walls have the exclusive function of retaining the slope and the installation was carried out using the dry-face technique, concrete on the extrados of the stones with special drainage.

The pedestrian access road to the amphitheatre was also built by SOVA, using material from local quarries.
The flooring of the area where the actors perform was created in the shape of an ellipse in concrete with a colored quartz surface finish, providing for the preparation of the electrical system and the laying of water pipes. The area in front of the amphitheater and between one session and another was greened with lawn planting.
To protect future users, fences have also been built both upstream, along the main road that leads along the BoscoArteStenico route, and downstream of the amphitheater.
