BRINDISI – Forum of the Network of elected women: the second stage on the theme “Women, energy and ecological transition, opportunities and new strategies for municipalities” will be held in Brindisi. After the first event held in Lecce, this time the administrators will meet in Brindisi to address the important issues of energy, environment and landscape. The forum will take place on June 27th starting from 3.30pm at the Ribezzo Museum, in Piazza Duomo in Brindisi.

The central theme of the energy and ecological transition will be explored in its various facets in four different working groups: circular economy and sustainable agriculture; energy transition, energy efficiency and energy communities; urban planning and land protection with parks and coastal plans; waste cycle and water resources.

The administrators will have the opportunity to meet with regional experts and managers from different sectors, as well as learning about good practices already applied in other situations. This is a path wanted by the presidency of the Regional Council of Puglia, a traveling event in the six provinces of Puglia. Different topics will be covered each time.

The aim is to draw up a strategic plan together for a more fair and democratic Puglia. A plan that commits regional institutions to intervene on new policies that guarantee gender equality in the various areas of daily life: from culture to tourism, from infrastructure to transport, from healthcare to the environment through welfare.

“These are very topical issues that will see the Apulian administrative bodies involved in their municipalities. On these issues it will be necessary to make commitments and adopt decisions – explains the Prime Minister, Loredana Capone – for this reason I strongly wanted working and discussion tables so that these can provide useful skills and tools for strategic planning, also thanks to the comparison of good practices and innovative solutions. The forums also represent a good opportunity to establish a direct communication channel with a team of experts and to find out in advance the innovations introduced by the Region. The final objective is to intercept needs and find solutions to propose to politics in order to make our region more equal”.
