LEGNANO – The mayor of Legnano Lorenzo Radice signed three ordinances to ensure the safe holding of the scheduled Rugby Sound from next Thursday, June 27th, until July 13th on Castle Island. The first concerns the protection of the territory and urban liveability during the days of the event and prohibits unauthorized access to the island; from 7.00 pm to 2.00 am, Drinks in glass bottles or cans cannot be consumed in the concert area, nor will it be possible to enter with objects that constitute a risk to the safety of others or with animals. And then The sale of tickets is prohibited throughout the municipal territory for Rugby Sound concerts outside official channels. The municipal operations center and the advanced medical post will be active in the concert area with personnel from the local police, civil protection, the Red Cross and the fire brigade with the relevant means.

The second ordinance aims to ensure conditions of tranquility in the city areas most directly affected by the demonstration and imposes, for its entire duration in the time slot between 6.00 pm and 3.00 amto commercial activities in public areas of do not sell spirits for takeaway nor alcohol for take-away in glass bottles and cans, while for administration establishments within the Rugby Sound area requires the serving of drinks in paper and plastic cups. The area affected by the ordinance is included between the streets for Canegrate and San Giorgio, Corso Magenta, Via Ratti, Via Verri, Via Santa Caterina, Viale Toselli, Via Strobino and within the border line with the municipalities of San Vittore Olona and Canegrate.

The third ordinance modifies the road system and, in particular, prohibits parking permanently on via per San Vittore Olona and in the dirt car park adjacent; establishes, still on via per San Vittore, the one-way system from Viale Toselli during the influx of the public and the one-way system towards Viale Toselli during the outflow; prohibits traffic in via dei Mulini, from the intersection with via per San Giorgio, from 6.00 pm to 2.00 am; and prohibits vehicles coming from Via Fornasone from 6.00 pm until the end of the concerts from circulating in via per San Vittore.
