TRENT. In the first half of 2024, the Trento police headquarters checked 13,599 people, with 113 reported in a state of freedom and 16 arrested, and proceeded with the seizure of approximately 2.5 kilograms of narcotic substances and over 100,000 euros as proceeds from the activity of dealing.
The flying squad – we read in a note – reported 17 arrests in flagrante delicto, a judicial police arrest, 71 suspects and seized over 10 kilograms of drugs.
Among the most significant operations is the “Alla Vecia” operation last March, concerning a criminal association aimed at trafficking and selling narcotic substances which has been operational since May 2022. The operation led to the referral of eleven people to the judicial authority: one of them was placed in precautionary custody in prison, for four others the precautionary measure of compulsory residence in the municipality of residence was ordered.
As regards the Anti-Crime Division, 25 warnings were issued for domestic violence and 22 for stalking.in addition to 44 oral warnings, 5 Daspo for crimes committed during sporting events and 26 mandatory warnings issued by the Municipality of Trento against convicted criminals.
In the first half of 2024, the Pas division of the Trento Police Headquarters guaranteed the issuance of 13,292 passports also thanks to the initiative of the “roving desk in the valleys”. The immigration office acquired 6,069 requests for the issuance of a residence permit, delivering 5,715 of them. For the remainder, further investigations are underway.
In this first half-year, there were 45 removal orders from the police commissioner, with 30 individuals accompanied to the CPRI, of which 20 had already been repatriated, and five accompaniments to the border.
