“Gen-E”, Catania will host the 2024 edition of the European youth entrepreneurship festival

On Tuesday 2 July at 11am, in the council room of Palazzo degli Elefanti, the mayor Enrico Trantino will host the press conference to present Gen-E, the largest European festival of youth entrepreneurship scheduled in Catania from 2 to 4 July. The Etna capital is the city chosen for the 2024 edition of the event promoted by Junior Achievement Europe which every year brings together students, teachers, representatives of the media, institutions and businesses from over 40 countries.

The objective is to enhance and reward ideas, skills, stories from the world of school and bring urgent social and value issues to the attention of the international public, with the involvement of citizens, associations and third sector entities. Also present at the meeting will be the rector of the University of Catania, Francesco Priolo, Rosario Fresta, president of Ance Catania, Antonino Belcuore, extraordinary commissioner of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Crafts and Agriculture of South East Sicily, Anna Gionfriddo, Country manager Manpower group Italy, Salvatore Nigro, CEO Junior Achievement Europe, Antonio Perdichizzi, president of Junior Achievement Italy and Isola Catania, Federica Celestini Campanari, commissioner of the Italian Youth Agency, Tiziana dell’Orto, general secretary of the EY Foundation. The press conference will also be an opportunity to discuss local and national issues, such as educational inequality and school dropouts, and the search for constructive solutions that help create opportunities for all.
