A8 MILAN-VARESE: NIGHT CLOSURES MILAN FAIR SECTION-A9 CONNECTION TOWARDS VARESE AND LAINATE STATION ENTRANCE
Rome, 25 June 2024 – On the A8 Milan-Varese, to allow paving works, the following closure measures will be adopted:
FROM 9.00pm TUESDAY 25th TO 5.00am WEDNESDAY 26th JUNE the Lainate station will be closed, entering Varese.
Alternatively, those headed towards Varese will be able to enter in Legnano, on the same A8 Milan-Varese while those headed on the A9 Lainate-Como-Chiasso will be able to enter the A9 in Origgio.
ON THE TWO NIGHTS OF WEDNESDAY 26 AND THURSDAY 27 JUNE, FROM 10.00pm to 5.00am, the section between Milano Fiera and the connection with the A9 Lainate-Como-Chiasso, towards Varese, will be closed. On the same nights, but from 9.00pm to 5.00am, the Villoresi est service area located in the aforementioned section will be closed.
Alternatively, the following itineraries are recommended:
-from Milan towards Varese, after the obligatory exit at the Fiera di Milano junction, take the Raccordo Fiera di Milano towards Rho/SS33 del Sempione, take the SS33 del Sempione following the signs for Varese with entry onto the A8 at the Legnano junction;
-from Milan towards Como/Chiasso, after the obligatory exit at the Fiera di Milano junction, take the A52 Milan northern ring road towards Monza, exit at the Baranzate junction, continue on the SP233 of Varesina towards Varese and enter on the A9 Lainate- Como-Chiasso, at the Origgio junction.
At the same time, the branches of the Raccordo Fiera (R37) will be closed for those coming from Rho towards Varese/Chiasso and Milan and for those coming from Monza towards Varese/Chiasso.
Alternatively, the following itineraries are recommended:
-from Rho towards Varese, exit at Baranzate and take the SS33 del Sempione towards Varese and enter the A8 at Legnano;
-from Rho towards Chiasso, exit at Baranzate and take the SP233 of Varesina and enter the A9 Lainate-Como-Chiasso at the Origgio junction;
-from Rho towards Milan, exit at Baranzate and return from the same junction, then join the A8 through the Fiera Milano junction;
-from Monza towards Varese, follow the signs for Rho along the SS33 Sempione and enter the A8 at Legano;
-from Monza towards Chiasso, exit at Baranzate, take the SP233 Varesina and enter the A9 at the Origgio junction.
