a 39-year-old and a 31-year-old died

Dramatic accident on the evening of Monday 10 June in via Novara, on the western outskirts of Milan. Around 10pm two people, Samuele Lunardi aged 39 and Sara Capani aged 31, I am dead crashing on one scooter against the traffic barrier of the road which in that stretch, almost at the junction for Figino, runs with two lanes in each direction. The two were traveling along the road in the direction of Settimo Milanese and suddenly, as seen by the investigators in the camera footage, the scooter traveling in the central lane suddenly swerved to the left and ended up against the wall and the pole of a road sign. A fatal impact. The suspicion is therefore linked to a sudden illness of the man who was driving or to the presence of an unexpected obstacle which, however, is not seen in the camera footage.

The two victims were together on a scooter Kymco 125 and in the collision, according to the initial findings of the local police, there were no other vehicles involved. The wounded were rescued by four 118in vehicles code red but they are they both died a few hours later in hospital: the 40 year old at San Carlo and the woman at San Raffaele. The victims were friends and probably Samuele Lunardi (who lives in Quinto Romano) was accompanying Sara Capani home to Settimo Milanese.
