On the evenings of Friday 21st and Saturday 22nd June the quarter finals of the Marche Trophyregional football event reserved for the category Very young Under 14s organized by Cluentina football.
Two challenges were decided on penalties: the Ancona derby between Nuova Folgore and CD osimostation and the Macerata one which saw the Salesiana Vigor and the Caldarola.
In the first match it took 10 penalties each to decide the first semi-finalist after a 1-1 draw in regulation time. There was great disappointment among the ranks of Nuova Folgore for the three woodwork hit during the match.
In the other derby it was Caldarola who prevailed in the first all-out penalty, after Salesiana Vigor threw away the match point by missing the decisive penalty, but above all the double advantage in regulation time (which ended 2-2) when the a doubling even occurred shortly after the halfway point of the second half.
The results of the other two challenges are clearer. L’Athletic Ascoli with another 3-0, after the one against Moie Vallesina in the round of 16, he prevailed over a still good Maceratese team keeping a clean sheet in this final phase, while theCivitanova Academy spreads in the second half, ruling with a resounding 6-0 against AFC Fermo who had put the rossoblù in difficulty by giving way only in the last action of the first half of the match.
These quarter-finals tell us that the Civitanova Academy, holders of the tournament, are increasingly the favorites to win the final, not only by reading the numbers (19 goals scored and 0 conceded so far in this final phase) but also for the play expressed and the quality of the squad available to Mr. Calvaresi who can boast of excellent and numerous individualities.
Even though at the beginning of the tournament they did not enjoy the favor of the prediction for the final victory, Caldarola, surprisingly, is confirming itself as a good reality, a spirited and never tamed team, performing physically and with good elements in the squad as well as a coach with certified football experience .
In short, the ingredients to enjoy two exciting semi-finals are all there. This is the program of the challenges always staged at the camoi “Tonino Seri” of Macerata:
