“For the first time the expansion of the Community House among the objectives of ASL”. Location where the Local Health Authority presented its budget and where «for the first time, we read among the objectives the planning of the expansion of the Carpaneto Community House» writes the mayor.
«For years – underlines Arfani – we have had the problem of space, which has repercussions on services, and for years we have been fighting by placing ourselves at a disadvantage with the budgets of the Local Health Authority. For a few months, thanks to a transversal work of the Municipality of Carpaneto (majority group Carpaneto Insieme and opposition groups Carpaneto al Centro and Noi di Carpaneto), together with the trade union representatives of the territory, a close dialogue with the Company and the Region, which began with a meeting in Bologna at the beginning of February, and with subsequent meetings in Piacenza. In these locations, we have obtained the commitment of the Local Health Authority and the Region plan the expansion of the structure and request funding to achieve it, in the regional budgets of the years to come. Today, as mentioned, in the ASL budget we read about the presence of this objective. For this reason, Carpaneto’s vote has once again become favourable: in his declaration of vote, the mayor of Carpaneto specified, however, that the favor is conditional on respecting the commitments on the Community House”.
«It is still a long journey: we need to see the project and analyze it, which will have to pass through the scrutiny of the Ctss and then of the Region. We know – he adds – that it will take a few more years for everything to come to fruition. But the first stone, the first step, was there. At the same time, we are seeing some services reactivated. We continue to insist and discuss so that those who are still missing and who have been requested also return.”
«On this day, however – concludes the mayor – it is right to have an opening of optimism, and this thanks to joint and transversal work, the result of the union of intentions of the entire municipal council and the trade union representatives, who have established this objective as primary and shared. The next appointment will be with the company to analyze the preliminary project together, and we are confident that this can happen within the month of July”.
