This morning the territorial social and health conference met in an electronic session. While waiting for the appointment of the new president (Lucia Fontana’s mandate lapsed after the elections in Castel San Giovanni), the assembly was chaired by the mayor of Piacenza Katia Tarasconi to approve the budget of the Local Health Authority of Piacenza. There were 43 in favor (weighted vote), 15 abstentions and 7 against.
“The 2024 annual budget estimate presents an imbalance of 53.9 million euros – explains a press release – pending the resources retained at regional level which will be distributed during the financial year, as also occurred in the 2023 budget” . It is also underlined that “the resources allocated to date for 2024 are significantly lower than those ultimately allocated for 2023”.
AUSL, THE 2024 ACTION PLAN
As regards the action plan, presented by the general director of the AUSL Paola Bardasi, the collaboration agreement with the Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute in Castel San Giovanni was recalled, with the start of the outpatient activity shortly: in the next indications will be provided to citizens in order to book visits.
The tender for the purchase of the PET is then being awarded (over 1,800 tests are expected to be carried out in 2024), while for the new hospital in Piacenza. the deliberative act approving the technical-administrative path necessary for the design and finalization of the State/Regional financing agreements should arrive by the end of June (subject to regional approval).
Clinicalization path University of Parma: there are eleven locations with approved hospitalization, of which 4 have already been completed. The procedures have been activated to complete the teaching staff of four locations (Oncology, ENT, Anesthesia and Internal Medicine) and the proposal for a further 3 clinicalized locations (Ophthalmology, Neuroradiology and Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine) is underway.
The plan to reduce waiting lists, as already communicated in recent days, provides for an increase in services of 22% (+25% average for visits and +19% average for diagnostics and instrumental), which means 126 thousand in more than 2023.

As regards the redevelopment of hospitals, among the many points planned in Piacenza are the works for the analysis laboratory, the new neonatal pathology, the new haemodynamic room, the replacement of the CT scan in the emergency room and in Radiology II; in Castel San Giovanni the launch of the Cau by the end of 2024 and in Fiorenzuola the expansion of the oncohematology day service, the Pet therapy project, telenursing for spinal cord patients managed remotely, the replacement of the CT scan in Radiology. In Bobbio the replacement of the radiological system and the completion of the Community House project.
The Community Houses will go from 8 to 12 (new inaugurations: Piacenza-Belvedere, Bobbio, Fiorenzuola and Lugagnano.
