Pezzaze. Domenico Postorino, known as “Mimmo”, has passed away at the age of 87. His name was also linked to Brescia football for at least twenty years (from the mid-80s to the mid-2000s): his work was in the military sector, he rose to the role of Colonel even though everyone called him General, “but ranks don’t matter, people matter” he often repeated.
His passion for journalism had led him to become a publicist, as he was unable to be a professional as a senior officer in the Army. In practice he already had another job. But he likes journalism and football in particular.
Mimmo Postorino was a forerunner in proposing himself as host of the Monday evening broadcast, a must for Brescia football fans: he arrived on Teletutto with Paola Carbonari, Ciro Corradini, Gigi De Paoli and later Chico Nova. A few years later other people joined: Monica Gasparini, Clelia Magnolini and myself. Those were the frontmen of the broadcaster, who followed the Rondinelle on match days, but also with in-depth coverage on the other days of the week. After the death of his wife, Mimmo Postorino moved to Pezzaze where he was also asked to hold the position of vice mayor, but he was still interested in radio-television communication and was also approaching the world of social media. He had a new project in mind, he remained lucid and active until the end.
He also worked for other local broadcasters (Telenord, Telecolor), wrote for periodicals including La Voce del Popolo, and was also the coach of a football team made up of soldiers. Below we propose some articles by him or about him.
He has always had words of encouragement with the writer of this article. In the early nineties I joined Teletutto and the Giornale di Brescia when he was leaving to undertake other collaborations. Even though we didn’t work for the same newspaper, he gave me advice and tried to make me improve both professionally and personally. I have always sensed a sincere and disinterested esteem in Mimmo Postorino.

Domenico Postorino’s body is on display in the Civile morgue, the funeral will be held on Wednesday.
