The fun folkloristic descent on the Sile returns on Sunday | Today Treviso | News


TREVISO/SILEA – After last year’s success it returns, Sunday 30 June, the folkloristic masked descent on the Sile, as part of the “Restera ‘n’ Fest” exhibition, from 27 June to 7 July at the Sile Park (in via Alzaia sul Sile). No more boats made by the participants but, with the new format introduced last year, inflatable boats will be provided to groups who will form “themed” teams to participate in the race dressed in costume.

The Sile Canoe Club will provide 10, 15 or 30-seater dinghies for large groups, single, double or triple canoes, 5-person Indian canoes and 20-seater dragonboats. The departure is always from the Dea Goba bridge in Treviso at 8am with arrival at the Silea locks expected at 12pm.

To accompany the party there music by Funkasin Street Band and along the route there will be no shortage of the historic “fortaia”. While waiting for the return of the new descent on the Silea, the parity party from 27 June in the beautiful Restera with the Albertini food stand which will see the “sardea” as the protagonist, accompanied by other iconic dishes and good music.
