The new institutional website of the Municipality of Vicenza is online, developed thanks to the European NextGeneratio EU fund as part of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

The project represents a significant step forward in the modernization of municipal services and the implementation of digital technologies for citizens.

«This new site – declares the councilor for digitalisation and innovation Leonardo Nicolai – is the result of teamwork which saw the municipal information system and the Communication, information and Portal sector of the city with the press offices and public relations at the forefront, but which involved all the municipal sectors in a great review of services and processes. It may seem easy to change a site, but we are talking about a fundamental citizen service, visited 2,196,545 times in the last half of last year with 868,000 unique accesses. A site that involved the analysis, revision and migration of 2,138 pages dedicated to services and information, and a new design for 35,554 news, 23,215 events and 10,023 documents. I invite citizens to visit it, exploring all its many features. The modernization of the municipal digital platform is a clear example of how technological innovation can improve the quality of life of citizens, making public services more accessible and closer to the needs of the community”.

The new site, always accessible at the address www.comune.vicenza.it which does not change, was designed to meet the needs of citizens (user-centricity), guaranteeing rapid and intuitive access to all the information and services offered by the municipal administration.

The platform, based on open source technology, was developed with particular attention to accessibility, ensuring easy navigation even for people with disabilities and transparency of information.

It presents a modern and functional design, in line with the standards required at a national level and in compliance with the guidelines established by the Cad, the Digital Administration Code, reflecting the latest trends in terms of user experience and user interface (UX/UI ).

According to the funding announcement, the new website of the Municipality of Vicenza has developed the “Informed Citizen” measure, allowing citizens to access a vast range of updated and relevant information and the new appointment booking system at the office providing the requested service.

The site’s dynamic homepage constantly updates citizens on the latest news, events and initiatives promoted by the Municipality.

There is a personal area, in which each citizen has a reserved space where they can receive their documents and notifications, follow the progress of their procedures and interact with the administration; a section dedicated to news and an events agenda, which provide continuous updates on news and activities of the Municipality and beyond.

By the end of the year, the Municipality of Vicenza will activate further digital services envisaged by the “Active Citizen” measure, which will allow citizens to interact directly with the administration and take advantage of new tools for managing online procedures.

The financing obtained under the Pnrr (Mission 1 – component 1 – investment 1.4 “Services and digital citizenship” – measure 1.4.1 “Citizen experience in public services” for the realization of this project, identified with the CUP B31F22001530006, is equal to 516,323 euros and is of a “lump sum” type, i.e. a lump sum expense incurred so far, net of VAT, is equal to 132,400 euros for the site and related services, as well as a further 9,100 euros to develop the functions. interoperability of services with the back office systems of the Social sector.
