The note arrived before the release of other tragic news, the death of Luigi Guerriero (62 years old in March) who was engulfed in flames while riding a tractor on Friday. Rescued by his colleague, he was transferred by helicopter to Rome, where, however, yesterday his heart stopped beating.
So: five work victims in one week, a massacre for which a sit-in in front of the Ministry of Labor is expected today, while awaiting the large demonstration called in Latina for tomorrow complete with a national workers’ strike.
Yesterday in the late afternoon, Danilo Calvani, former leader of the pitchfork movement and leader of the Cra – Agricoltori traditi group, broke the news of the death of the well-known and loved farmer, particularly in Latina and Latina Scalo.
