“Today’s pain will be tomorrow’s victory”

“TODAY’S PAIN WILL BE TOMORROW’S VICTORY”.

The game of football is a very difficult sport for those who practice it and above all for those who make it a reason for living… for men. Let’s imagine it to be feminine, where it is a discipline that has been blossoming in Italy in terms of media and communication in the last ten years.

Puglia has always had a pink football tradition, let’s not forget Alaska of Lecce and Marmi Trani, who have won championships and cups (despite many prejudices), have seen many champions play in their ranks such as the great Carolina Morace.

And from a versatile land so full of talent, that Simona Lapomarda decided to give life to her dream, from that of Mattinata, namely “playing football”.

The autobiography – but in reality it is a story – published by Europa for the Chronos series (pp. 160) takes place over a period of time where the author recounts her dreams and her life full of apparently insurmountable obstacles and barriers.

«Today I can make it official – states the author – I will begin to present my book, which contains my experience and my experiences, because I want to share with those who may have had or have the same “situations” or “problems” as me, but above all with school children.”

And what better partnership could it be to start this tour from IPEOA “M. Lecce” of San Giovanni Rotondo and Manfredonia, an educational institution, masterfully managed by the Director Prof. Luigi Talienti, who for years has turned his gaze on the Gargano, on the needs of individuals, in the perspective of close correlation and synergy between the various local bodies .

«I thank the Headmaster Luigi Talienti for deciding to bring the book to his school. It all began with the collaboration in Monte Sant’Angelo in the event (and thanks to Dr. Lo Conte Antonio who created this network) of the 1st edition “Un Calcio alla Normalità” and today this beautiful collaboration and experience will give life and will be the drive, to many initiatives that concern the spirit of integration and social inclusion for the healthy growth of children and young generations. Our future is the future of our land. It is important to start from schools, only from school desks will we have a change.”
Simona’s story is a story of courage, a journey in search of oneself, sometimes leading one to question oneself: “I want the book to convey a message of strength, courage, being oneself, believing in one’s dreams without losing own “dignity”.

In conclusion, adds the Director Prof. Luigi Talienti: “In September we will make official the exact date of this wonderful meeting, which we will probably hold in October next. Schools must be places of discussion and all together we must promote initiatives for a change of mentality and above all for a cultural and social renewal. The school is ready to restart with increasingly concrete and virtuous synergies, because we want a society that has only prospects and no barriers”.
