Deficiencies in safety and training in the workplace. For this reason, four entrepreneurs, owners of as many beach establishments, were reported. It happened to Greek’s towerwhere the Carabinieri of the local station – together with the soldiers of the labor inspectorate unit of Naples – were engaged in checks at various beaches located on the seafront of the Vesuvian city.
The checks were carried out as part of the law enforcement services to undeclared work and safety in the workplace.
During the operations, which concerned four factories and a restaurant belonging to one of the seaside facilities, a total of 41 workers were identified and all were found to be regularly employed except in one beach where, in addition to the regular staff, five illegal workers were also found.
Despite this, the Carabinieri of Torre del Greco and the Nil staff of Naples contested various criminal and administrative sanctions, for a total of approximately 64,000 euros. Among the identified problems, the omission health surveillance and failure to train regarding safety in the workplace. In particular, in one beach the police also ascertained that the workplaces did not meet the minimum safety requirements, while in another they ascertained that the working environment was not up to standard.
