Controls of carabinieri against the illegal work on shores seaside resorts in Torre del Greco: several violations detected by the military, four entrepreneurs reported of the sector.
Undeclared work on the beaches, 4 entrepreneurs reported
TO Greek’s tower the carabinieri of the local station together with the soldiers of the labor inspectorate unit of Naples were involved in checks at various bathing establishments. The checks on the beaches were carried out as part of the law enforcement services undeclared work and safety in the workplace.
At the moment there have been 4 bathing establishments checked: among these there would be some one with a restaurant inside of. The catering facility was also subjected to checks by the military personnel.
Five workers not in compliance
They were identified during the operations a total of 41 workers and all were regularly employed: only on one beach were they found, in addition to the regular staff 5 illegal workers.
The discovery led to charges being filed against 4 entrepreneurs. The Carabinieri of Torre del Greco with the invaluable contribution of the Nil of Naples contested several sanctions – criminal and administrative – for a total of approximately 64 thousand euros.
Lack of training and non-compliant environments were contested
Not just illegal workers on the Torresi beaches: among the proven negligences failure to monitor health and training regarding safety in the workplace. In one establishment the police also ascertained that the workplaces did not meet the minimum safety requirements while in another establishment that the working environment was not up to standard.
The Nil will take care of the necessary requirements while the Carabinieri of the Torre del Greco company carry out checks will continue in the coming months as well. These controls therefore serve not only to punish infringements, but also to raise awareness among operators in the sector on the importance of respecting the rules, promoting a safer and more regular working environment for everyone.
